Second networking meeting of the NRW participants of the ewoca³ international workcamps in Dusseldorf

About 60 participants from Northrhine-Westphalia are meeting on Saturday, 10th of November, to relate their experiences with the ewoca³ programme during the summer of 2012. At the ZAKK in Düsseldorf the youths are exchanging the „tops and flops“ of their encounters with peers from, in each case, two different countries and the Mercator foundation presents their campaign „I want Europe“ to them. Creativity in Oberhausen

Beautification was the primary aim for the youths at the workcamp in Oberhausen: Now Parkhaus Oberhausen, a children and youth club, sports new benches and a newly created pond on the grounds. The workcamp also created new flower and garden beds. Youths of Noored Toredate Mötega from Estonia and Outward Bound from Romania were the guests of the Oberhausen youths. Bosnia and Herzegovina: Bikes, rubbish containers and lots of youths

The workcamp in Bosnia has successfully drawn to a close and brought good-humoured youths back home. The participants from Germany, Bosnia and Turkey worked two weeks on making new things from old ones, or making discarded things usable again. Initiated by the City of Bochum, Civril Ilce from Turkey and the Initiative for Direct Democracy from Bosnia, the 18- to 26-year-olds collected old bikes and repaired them. Camp in the Ukraine successfully concluded

Two weeks with lots of youths, a great amount of work and much fun: This is what the participants of the workcamp in the Ukraine experienced. First the French, German and Ukrainian youths worked on a house to make it accessible for people with disabilities.
