The participants were active in their disciplines on the one hand and in developing single scene images on the other hand. Within a short period of time they could show some first drafts for instrumental music, dance choreographies, sound samples and song compositions.

Additionally the group could attend an interesting program of workshops according to the principle of „each one teach one“: Everyone can be seen as an expert for a certain field and can share his/her knowledge about it. In this way all participants could become instructors for a variety of impulse courses. So far workshops in DJing, singing, Poi-ing, acting, contact juggling, songwriting, acrobatics and popping were offered.

The group(s) spent every available minute to exchange and learn about their skills, since everyone wants to get as much as possible out of the short time together.

Anti-racism Training // Oct 08th and 9th

In the following two days the group learned the basics about (anti-)racism and (anti-)discrimination. The workshop leaders also let enough space for opinions and exchanges about these topics.

The first part of the training again focused on getting to know each other in the group. The participants then were confronted with some theory of specific terms and concepts. Intermedial reflections also were a relevant part at this stage of the workshop.

On the second day marginalization and social positioning were big issues: Self-awareness and external perceptions, role playing games and possibilities in the fight against racism and discrimination were eagerly discussed.

The inputs of the trainers on one side and the group- / self-reflections on the other side, both inspired the participants for their interdisciplinary working phases. The results of these creative processes were presented at the end of every workshop day.

“Roommates” // Getting to know each other // Oct 6th 2015

The group started the first project day with lots of motivation, even though some of the participants were really tired because of late arrivals and long travels.

After some relaxing vocal exercises and challenging muscle warm-ups, the group played a couple of games in order to get to know each other. Funny face drawing games were part of it and active listening was required. The participants were sharing some first ideas and even some early creative inputs turned up at this point.

In the afternoon the participants were split up in their four disciplines music, dance, singing and media. At this point the participants were supposed to get to know each other on a productive level. Artistic priorities and preferences were tested and insecurity could be discussed with the respective coaches.

After dinner the group met for an open jam session. The participants were playing, singing and dancing together, some first proposals for the play to be created were presented and in this way the first day came to a nice end with lots of impulses for the upcoming two weeks.
